The Knox County Extension Service provides annual training each spring for farmers on Best Produce Practices and WIC and Senior Food Voucher acceptance programs. The KY state 2021 application deadline is May 1. Confirm training date with the Knox County Extension.

SNAP, WIC and Senior Food Vouchers

The Knox County Farmers' Market accepts EBT/SNAP funds through a market token program. Vendors must sign up for the voucher program if they wish to accept SNAP funds.

Only vendors that have participated in the 2019 KY State WIC and Senior Food voucher training program are eligible to accept these programs' vouchers. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in WIC or Senior voucher sales.

Credit and Debit Cards

KCFM also offers a credit and debit card token program if your farm does not yet accept credit or debit cards though we encourage our vendors to procur their own mobile payment solutions.

Interested in being a member?

Bring your completed application and your member fee to the information booth at the Thursday market or drop it off at the Knox County Exrtension office during their office hours. Applications will be reviewed and must be preapproved piro to setup at the market.

ALL prepared-on-site food vendors MUST be preapproved by the KCFM Board and have ALL required Health Department certifications. No exceptions allowed. The KCFM reserves the right to limit the number and type of food vendors participating in the market.

We welcome local farmers and hand crafters from Knox and surrounding counties. 

If you grow your own produce or hand make a craft you need to join the market!

Our vendors come as often as they like - some setup weekly and others only come once a month or when their product is in season.

Sales of pre-approved, locally-made craft items will be permitted as determined by the Knox County Farmers’ Market Board. For craft approval, submit photos of your craft and a description of your items on your vendor agreement form. 

*Only 2021 registered members may participate in Knox County Farmers' Market events and markets.
